I suspect the real reason behind this initiative is the impact COVID has had (and will likely continue to have) on the music industry. Income streams people previously couldn’t be bothered with now suddenly seem very significant.
It serves to validate Jaxsta's product and Songtradr was very smart, quickly securing an exclusive 5-year deal.
What I'm still pondering is: was he not aware of Jaxsta, or he was but wasn't interested in working with Jaxsta, or Jaxsta wasn't interested in working with him? A person of his standing would have given Jaxsta some great publicity. I’ve emailed Jaxsta; I don’t expect to get a clear response but I’m hopeful I’ll be more enlightened.
