By fix I am referring to instances where the labels have incorrect or incomplete data. Both Jaxsta and Spotify note that errors in data need to be updated by the labels. Then the corrected data flows through to Jaxsta/Spotify from their feeds.
Much is made of JXT being 'official' credits. Doesn't mean they are all correct. I've seen a few internet posts where artists note that their credits are incorrect or missing in Jaxsta. My point is that the data is only as good as what they receive. Sure, they can link it, de-duplicate it etc.
No, the labels don't need to fix anything, but if they don't, Jaxsta does not give the right credit.
I also note that Spotify has a subsidiary "Soundbetter" where industry professionals can 'claim and manage' their profile. And credits are verified by by Allmusic...
