Actually it does matter where the power was coming from, so we lost some transmission towers and you think that's an event that should wipe out the entire states power? What the hell? If we actually had a power station or 2 of our own running then yes it wouldn't have happened because they could have been ramped up and the power from these used to get to any areas on the grid it could from their locations. You're narrow minded dare I say stupidity has shone through in this post.
Here's where your argument should have stopped in your head as you thought to yourself about SA's power blackout:
1. Transmission tower went down, power went out.
2. Oh gas powered station came up and suddenly 90% of SA is able to be powered up
3. The transmission tower that supposedly caused it all according to me is still down
4. Ah maybe it was the fact that SA has no baseload power plant of it's own running that caused it.
5. Delete what I've written and don't post as I'm clearly wrong
