    It actually does have something to do with renewable energy. The Jay gang decided to pursue a policy of 47% renewable energy and balance the grid with Vic power for peak load. The issue is that they closed the Playford A and B stations and made no replacement plans for the loss in generation. Playford A is being demolished and B is in mothballs.
    The issue is that when the wind blows the turbines stop and when the sun don't shine, solar is not worth wiping your nether regions. Yes you are right the weather was extreme, yet it has exposed a policy deficiency that has left the entire state blacked out and we pay 3000% more for our power.
    The fact is that SA needs to be able to generate its own base load peak load power, full stop.......
