Yep it's all there, the terms of the JDA includes the licence option. If the JDA ends or is terminated, that option is gone.
hence my view for a while now that the JDA should end. I actually asked a question after "megabit success" annoucm about what they were going to do with it..
surely 4DS has now diverged enough from HGST that they should no longer rewarded with this opportunity... 4DS have funded the last few mil of effort with imec - seems to me HGST are getting a free ride.
