Exiled Yemeni Government, Southern Transitional Council Sign Power-Sharing Deal in #Saudi Arabia's capital of #Riyadh.

    Jeddah Agreement signed
Firstly, this agreement seems to be the natural progression given the way the Southern (STC lead?) forces have succeeded in resisting the Houthi forces and sits along side the substantial uneventful factor that the exiled Hadi government is really enjoying guest privileges in Riyadh.

One question I would like to know is whether the PSA executive considered over the last few months that some authority in the approval process Petsec requires, may shift into the STC's sphere of influence? That is, if the STC is now in government will they push for further oil production in their southern areas (esp Shabwah) and so assist PSA directly? To this effect, the Jeddah Agreement gives recognition to the Elite forces across the Southern regions to continue securing the Shabwah and Hadramaut Governorates.

Obviously, PSA is due to deliver its next quarterly report in the few days (Monday the 27th seems about right) and this headline news may not have sufficient time to be included. This quarterly covers the 6 months period that was discussed at the AGM for some understanding of deliverables since Mr. Bokhari started with Petsec as the MD at that time.

And now it's our "Wishing well" time. So PeterRG, (and the other Peter), Spud42, MiningNut, TSirt, Fike, Zen, Danpech, Aquanaut, afawcett, etc, any thoughts what will be in this next quarterly.

    Some twitter comments:

The agreement of the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council, which Saudi Arabia has succeeded in, will take the Yemeni situation to a new stage of security, peace and stability, focusing on the transparent management of state resources, combating corruption and forming an economic council led by experienced and impartial figures.

It came with strong Saudi efforts, unwavering support from the brothers in the UAE and a sincere determination from all Yemeni parties to lift their country out of greed. #ايران And immunize them from foreign interventions and move them to a stage of development and stability.
