Since the royal commission exposed the cruel treatment of victims of child abuse within the Jehovah’s Witnesses, little has changed.

For me, this puts the Russian position in perspective.
Watchtower attempts to portray the Russians as the bad guys for stomping on their religious rights while doing the same to its own members who disagree with them.
Child abuse and abuse of those who disagree with them through shunning and by attempting to deny young people of some life saving medical procedures and tertiary education are areas that the Russians would protect their citizens against by keeping them out of Russian territory.
