We were talking about John 16. Let's not muddy the water with other scripture.
Have a look at it again and there can be no doubt that Jesus is saying that His sacrifice has put in play a process whereby He, Jesus, will send another like Himself, obeying the very same Will of G.d which makes them one. Different bodies same obedience to the Will of G.d which makes them the identical even though not literally the same person. This is why they allude to the return of Jesus, the Second Coming. It's not the same person, rather it is the same obedience to the Will of G.d.
Only this time the Message will be far more detailed, more complex, more inclusive of all races and creeds. It will fulfil the prophecies of many religions, not just Christianity.
