If the men do not get jobs with preference given to women, the result is zero gain tho, so the math does not figure. Not yet in Australia anyway. There appears rampant underemployment and the unemployment figure seems sanitized by assets tests and means test unexperienced in the stats of other countries.
The Aussie figures on unemployment and employment aren't really believed by anyone from economists to politicians to bankers to fundies so I think the whole country's employment basis needs a reset away from preferential identity politics in the employment decision and towards true merit regardless of whether worker is male, female or neuter.
