Husky is more of a holiday village with a main street which has restaurants/cafes – the main street pretty much backs on/looks over the bay/creek. The main street also includes the RSL/pub which are pretty much on the water front. Husky also has a swimming pool (50m) and main park, along with two caravan parks which are on the water front. Husky’s water front from moona creek to the main street (about 1.5 km) is pretty much set for recreation/holiday makers – it is quite nice . Very few houses in Husky are on the water front looking over the bay, however there are a few water front properties on the creek (with is more a river). Husky has had limited development other then the main street, most residential development just involves building a few villas/townhouses on a block. But there is a few large/up market apartment developments being advertised. Overall Husky is more a holiday town.

Vincentia is more of a suburb. It has quite few water front properties, which are quite upmarket (among the old beach shacks which are becoming rarer) and dare say would be $1million plus properties – Vincentia has a lot more “mansions” then Husky. It has the main shopping centre which has coles and a few speciality shops and but very few restaurants/cafes compared to Husky. Also the centre is back from the water. It has no pub and only a golf club which is well away from the water. Also most of the properties are a lot newer in Vincentia. While the Vincentia water front is nice and is not set up like Husky for holiday makers/recreation. It does not have a caravan park either.

Pretty much pretty any where you stay in Husky it is only a few mins walk to the water which is not the case with Vincentia.

I would also say(just guessing), that Vincentia while a lot larger then Husky, has a larger percentage of permanent residents (families etc) then Husky.

If I were looking to purchase a holiday home in the area depending on your budget, St George basin/sanctuancy point most likely offers better value – could quite easy pick up a shack for under $250k while Husky/Vincentia would be at least 400-450k plus, while not as nice as husky/Vincentia it is definitely a lot cheaper option. Also the basin is quite popular with holiday makers and is only a 5 min drive to what Husky offers.

You most likely really need to spend a day down there to get a feel for the area and see the difference between Vincentia/Husky.

Also don't forget the other main town on the bay is callalla beach/bay which is on the opposite side to husky.
