My two cents is that the weakness in SP is likely twofold. More broadly today was a horrible day for lithium stocks as news emerged on benchmark pricing from Argentina and an announcement from the large Chinese EV/battery manufacturer BYD that they were acquiring lithium assets in Africa that will secure them a stable source of supply for the next decade plus (I would actually argue that this represents another wake up call for the Western supply chain to get its act together and do the same - which should actually be positive for share prices of critical mineral producers in Aus). So negative sentiment in lithium that then spread to other EV minerals and profit taking...second on a more idiosyncratic basis I don't think Citi have covered themselves in glory with how they have handled this trade - it feels really sloppy - i can't believe they could not have found a large strategic buyer but then again they don't cover the stock etc and probably just got rid of it to some loose hands...I want to be proved wrong - hopefully we get a substantial shareholder notice from an existing or new investor..not holding my breath though
