@rcman you are talking through your hat, beard, arse - any student of history would know by now that major economic reasons, too many to list, were the root causes of a thwarted socialist/communist revolution which turned into fascism in almost all European countries:
After WWI in the 1920s: Germany, Austria, Italy etc. had left-wing leaders with a just society as their ideal, but we know how all that ended, Mussolini turned fascist, the first fascist in Europe btw, everyone forgives the Italians . . . ) Racism btw, superiority of the white race etc. had been 'invented' in the United States, eagerly taken up by the Nazis, but other people before them.
