the point is,the jews always believed god had a son its all throught the old testament
they just didnt believe jesus was him,the jews that did believe he was the son of god were the start of christianity,
You could well be right bowral, it's not something I'm into really but I do often come across the subject (religion) in my travels.
I see the Old Testament more as book of historical events with a lot of embellishment and propaganda tossed in and the New Testament just an upgrade to match the sensibilities of the people of that later time.
