what you call 'psychological' you attribute to 'chemicals'. this is illogical
it is as illogical as saying there is an 'all-loving jealous' God
physical chemicals cannot produce psychological suffering
for example, physical chemicals in a human corpse will not produce psychological suffering (since the corpse has no functioning mind)
physicality is not 'psychological'. mind is not matter; matter is not mind
Buddha said there is matter (chemicals) and there is mentality (thought, etc)
the physical matter may stimulate certain mental reactions but they are ultimately distinctly separate, in that it is only the mentality causing suffering
