Jesus states that life is found in him those that believe in the Son will never die.
Hardly a claim that a mere creature could boast even a mighty servant creature like an angel can make with any credibility, but no so of God the author of life.
This is why we fix our eyes on God in Christ the only one who perfects our faith.
Hebrews 12:2
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
