According to Biblical usage, “jealousy” may be a positive or a negative quality or emotion as can be demonstrated by 2 quotes from the same Bible writer.
(2 Corinthians 11:2) For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy, for I personally promised you in marriage to one husband that I might present you as a chaste virgin to the Christ.
(2 Corinthians 12:20) For I am afraid that somehow when I arrive, I may not find you as I wish and I may not be as you wish, but instead, there may be strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, dissension, backbiting, whispering, being puffed up with pride, and disorder.
