When we talk of a jealous God it would be akin to say driving around in your car then by accident stumbling across your son at the park. You stop to say hi but before you can you see from a distance drug dealers approach him trying to push their misery on him

You as a Father would be full of rage and anger toward those that are trying to corrupt your child.
This anger and rage is righteous you want to protect your child and its born from jealously, yes a deep seated jealousy for your son, for the deep love you have for your children.
