Yes, it's fallacy of equivocation. Equating separate and distinct emotional states in an attempt to whitewash descriptions that are clearly negative.
Can't expect anything else, after all, if a single contradiction in the Bible is acknowledged, the whole house of cards (faith) could come tumbling down...
