Science and religion are equal pillars upon which human society stands. If either one collapses we fall. Science without the restraint of religion is materialism. Religion untested by science is superstition and dogma. They are inseparable. I was not spruiking the virtues of science over religion, rather, there are fundamental schools of religion that prosthelytize the most ludicrous beliefs and bring religion into ridicule, or worse, perpetuating ignorance.
