Would be madness to not have AC inverter onboard the vehicle in my opinion. The entire world's infrastructure is based on AC networks. DC fast charging networks are a nice to have, but right now every single building in Australia has a built in petrol station for EV's, no capital input required.

I'm not sure what benefit there would be to push people in their homes to install a DC charger. Houses are only connected to the low voltage network, and lucky to have 3 phase power at that, so they can't magically pull 100KW plus from a 230V or 440V line in. Fast chargers will normally need to come off the medium voltage transmission lines at 11KV.

Maybe an opportunity for new apartment building up-sells that have 11KV line-ins. Could be very cool having ~20-100KW DC V2G chargers in the basement.
