Jetstar is owned by Quantas as far as I know, could be wrong there but I think it is.
JETSTAR is a low cost budget airline so if you expect top end service you need to rethink who you are flying with.
Ive been on most of the low cost budget airline. They are cheap if all you want is to get from A to B without eating or drinking or watching a movie or any of that, because that is how they keep their flights cheap. If you add the price of food and drink and a movie into the price they are all priced pretty much the same really give or take a few dollars.
Personally I prefer to fly on the full service aircraft they are better and I prefer to fly Quantas because of its safety record and because the aircraft are well maintained and look that way mainly.
If you have flown in some of the airlines in the US you will know what I mean.
If your going to fly budget you need a credit card if you want to eat or drink even in Australia.
