Hi pimply 56. Thanks for alerting me to this new Jewish organisation. I know as much about them as you do but they seem reasonable don't they.
Due to my Jewish ancestry and Australian citizenship, I take an interest in my country's doings relating to seeking justice for Palestinians. I've always felt some degree of shame that Australian governments and major institutions, including our ABC, have been almost uniformly biased in favour of Zionist propaganda narratives.
So some 20 odd years ago my partner and I decided to focus our support for Palestinians via helping to fund the US based Jewish Voice for Peace, rather than struggling in vain to find any seemingly effective direct action happening in Australia.
It's now heartening for me to learn about the Jewish Council of Australia. I hope it proves effective in helping to bring bring pressure on the powers that be. Thanks again pimply 56.
