The Gazans have used the same system in the past and it has always been verified and then accepted by the collective West.
As to the video of the guy, I'd take what he says with a grain of salt. Why? What he is saying there cannot be supported by what we see in thousands, by now, short clips on social media provided by the IDF soldiers themselves.
Further to that, that video was uploaded 2 (two) years ago. We don't know when it was actually made. And a lot has happened since. See below, please.
