    I'm not anti-Semitic nor anti-Zionism but if there can't be compromise, perhaps Israel should consider a re-location away from Arab hostility towards them. I would gladly accept a New Israel as a 7th State or perhaps they can use their US influence to be the 51st State and carve out a position that matches the metaphoric description 'promised' to them. They could probably be gifted it. Imagine, a New Jerusalem, right up there with NY.

    Leave the ME for the Sunnis and the Shiites to argue over - I can't imagine a peaceful Israel located there and definitely not without significant compromise.

    There's no reason to believe that Yahweh's promise was literal nor that it applies to this life/existence. It may well apply in an afterlife whether you believe in one or not.
