Jews have been to the 'go to scapegoat' for about 2000 years beginning with Vespasian who gained great popularity by looting the Jerusalem temple. The Romans then evicted as many Jews as possible from Judea.
Eastern Europeans would periodically rob and murder Jews with their regular pogroms.

Middle eastern Hamas types dream of robbing the Jews in Israel of course. Easy wealth is to be obtained by stealing.
