what i think could happen her is USA being the biggest car manafacturers in the free world dont like being reliant on china for lithium .CHINA currently have a MONOPOLY on lithium production as well as rare earths. This could set up beautifully for straight line supply to them without the need for time lags on shipping.NOT to mention economies of scale. I would anticipate either a large car manafacturer,lithium co or governments to help fund converter. Lithium co or car manafacturer might negotiate a stake in co for funding.
