There may be more of a daily mark-to-market mentality today and gold producers tend to rise and fall on a daily basis with the price of gold, explorers of course less so. Near miners such as CRK should be re-rated when the market realises that the price of gold is not dropping back to old levels. Wise to calculate gold at a lower level though when valuing shares. I agree that I wouldn't expect gold to go through $US1,500 in the next 12 months, but who knows
