Imo the move up from the lows today was due to RIO and BHP, RIO posted positive results, BHP had their announcement at 2. Both big market movers - its not all down to them but they were the positive drivers.
Look at the action of the banks, CBA Sold out into the end of the day, the other banks sold out way before but were strongly bought into to support their price
Were it not for the above, i think we would have closed lower for sure. We could see consolidation at this level or a sharp retrace down.. ..either way, i think the rally has stalled.
Too much too fast on speculation and hope. Im not as end of the world as martis but i think this last week has just been frantic. The markets need some sense put back in them and we will most likely see that.. ..and that may just pave the way for a nice bull run (or martis's C wave?) we can only anticipate.
Fundementals back in place, but macro events still in the driving seat.
