That's not an answer at all Scott. You're not talking about wanting a handful of independents in a House with two major parties. You want a whole House filled with them.
At the moment the House functions well. Very well when you consider alternatives as radical as your own.
I would also point out Scott that hives - like bees for example - get a lot done. Individuals like resin bees not so much.
