Yep it is all about confidence in the outlook. If trade war continues in an aggressive manner than gold will benefit & base metals suffer. If China & Trump work out a deal or ratchet down hostilities than gold suffers & base metals benefit. Last night that gold was down $US33 / oz. So i wont be expecting the gold miners to be recording price rises today.
