If we do play along with this lawsuit scenario there would be MANY things that would need to happen for Jimmie to need to sell 96,000,000 shares in one go:
- The judgement is made now (case has been going for a full year now, why would it suddenly happen RIGHT NOW?)
- The judgement is for the full amount, and requires immediate payment
- There is no possiblility of appeal
- Jimmie has no other source of funds to pay the plaintiff -> would it not be a business expense of Ci1, which itself has adequate existing resources?
-> Jimmie is clearly a rich man, and I'm yet to see evidence of him being a loose spender
- Jimmie and the plaintiff do not come to another solution ie. pay back over time, profit sharing into the future, stake in the business etc.
This is ignoring the fact that Jimmie is a very successful and experienced Hong Kong lawyer himself. You think he doesn't know how to handle a basic case like this?
