I have just been watching a program on this vile and monstrous and vile person and it still amazes me, although I have seen similar attitudes in the workplace, that so many people were prepared to look the other way just to protect their position. I was faced with similar situations in the workplace, when I had no hesitation in reporting two CEO's to a higher authority for taking action that was detrimental to the company, for which they were working and being more than adequately remunerated. All it takes is a belief in honesty and integrity; but you must be prepared to pay a high price.
Why wasn't there at least one senior executive person prepared to reveal Jimmy Seville's vile degradation of vulnerable young people? And don't tell me that senior executives at the BBC were unaware of his litany of sexual abuse. Clearly they worshipped the old god of greed called Mammon, in preference to the protection of young and vulnerable children. Why haven't they been charged with dereliction of duty?
