Most takeovers are priced at a 30-50% premium. Having said that, I have no idea if there is any truth to these mentioned rumours.

On another note, we are overdue for a resource upgrade.
In Sept 2016 GXY announced the following to the asx:

"Galaxy has also engaged consultants to review and update the current Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve. This is now in its final stages of completion and Galaxy will advise the market with the updated numbers in due course."

The Bell Potter report mentioned a possible 1MT at 1.4% upgrade:

"The current Mineral Resource estimate (Table 1) is set to be increased significantly by the recent drilling results. The recent drilling has now defined a new zone that is approximately 500m wide and at least 150m long, which is open in all directions but in particular to the east, where it appears to be increasing in thickness. We estimate this new zone of mineralisation could contain at least 1Mt at about 1.4% Li 2 O and potentially several million tonnes of lower grade material. A formal update to the Mt Cattlin Mineral Resources and Ore Reserve is currently underway."
