I am very careful about my personal info on the net, i do not use social media or place my resume details online, i have no internet presence.
I received this email recently after a failed job application through rossjuliaross in novemeber it suggests that the Caldwell group has being "trawling" online databases, which is absolute rubbish , they were hacked or a dubious employee took the database, they also uploaded my info against my email stating remove all resume & personal details from your system, which was not done, this is what followed
"We have been alerted to the fact that several JuliaRoss registered temps and contractors have received an email entitled “Find New employment” from the Caldwell Group. The email fraudulently suggests a link between JuliaRoss and the Caldwell Group including an assertion that this organisation has sourced candidate resumés from JuliaRoss.
This email is a scam and is most likely to have originated as a result of Caldwell Group trawling online resume databases and social networking sites for links to email addresses and employment details. We strongly advise that you DO NOT reply to this email and that you delete it.
JuliaRoss takes the privacy and confidentiality of our candidates, temps and contractors very seriously and we never share your details with any third party without your consent."
NOW here is the kicker
"As we cannot confirm the security of your details on social networking sites or online databases, we recommend you review your privacy settings on these sites to protect your personal details."
Its obvious they were hacked or an employee on sold info that i stated i wanted removed which never was, obvious why i only use one email for job applications & have no online presence. After ringing management i established against their own privacy policy my details were not removed & can be held for up to 5 years even though i never agreed for them to hold it, management than attempted to delete it got as far as mobile & name than resume would have to be referred to someone else
An eye opener to say the least, How many job agencies have kept my personal details on their systems for 5 years????? Its going to be a busy week next week removing my info from servers around the country.
I will be putting a disclaimer on every job i apply for in the future, demanding removal of my info & resume regardless of outcome.
As for who has the info of anyone that applied for a job through juliaross in the last 5 years its out there now in whose hands.?????????
