Absolutely concur Jafs TLS has definitely been a bloated and unresponsive company historically so this restructure if done well should dramatically change this going forward. From what's been released so far I actually think the job cut targets don't go far enough as essentially it's just migration from working for TLS to going to NBN or one of their contractors. The leftover cuts after this and likely a few of those "management layers" being referred to essentially would just be related to managing those extra several thousand employees. I would have thought it should be more like 8000 PLUS efficiency gains of 500 odd staff directly supporting those roles. Adding to that the cost benefit of how many company cars and office resources are no longer required the targets set by TLS so far are IMO quite conservative, I think in this regard Andy Penn has been pretty fair, dealt with it very honestly and with integrity. Certainly no tech genius or empire builder but seems to be setting TLS on a path to sustainability and long-term incremental growth IMO, certainly can't be argued it's the same company he took charge of, only question now is if that's for better or worse and I guess whilst I certainly suspect it's for the better I may well be wrong, I don't think I am but who does think of themselves as being wrong?
