    g'day @sjjbl5... its looking very like there have been substantial design flaws in JobKeeper. Rushed out without giving the design adequate thought or consultation with employer/employee groups.

    Of course there was the impetus to be immediately seen as acting and so no time to consider consequences, to check for those, such as working artists, university tutors/lecturers etc, who would blatantly fall through the floor and end up with no income at all.

    What I keep wondering about is all the people who have "decided they no longer want to seek work" and who have been removed from the "unemployed" list. This number has varied from 650,000 to 250,000 each month... more and more "leaving" the search for a job. It doesn't make sense unless these have been "removed" due to tightening Newstart conditions.

    There are many anomalies with Job Keeper and I'm wondering too about the numbers on Jobseeker/ How accurate are these figures? Are they being manipulated , as so many Govts have done before, to bolster the image of competence while the reality is showing the opposite?
