    Here is an interesting article.

Cook Island rely on 70 percent for tourism.

We always here some in Australia bang on about tourism. If this is the case why do they not help themselves by creating cheaper flight without cost to the taxpayer??

If bidding systems, unitisation of work, breaking down the power structures reduces costs and creates more value and wealth would this not aid Australia in the tourist debate let alone the Cook Islands. I am, sure the Cook Islands would prefer pilots bidding on work flying in and out of the Cook Islands to Sydney or wherever on planes to get the people in and if more people come in on better value flights thats more money to send on trips is it not??

So why should governments support the current power structure if it hurts their citizens let alone their tax base?

Not only that its easier for new comers to innovate, modify the software, forge different better business models to create an even better deal for participants when barriers of entry are reduced, provided they comply with CASA and other regulatory bodies
