Eastern Star Gas is focused on exploration, development and production of coal seam gas in Australia. Our aim is to be a leading producer of coal seam gas in NSW and to become an exporter of LNG. Recent certifications of its gas reservoirs has seen ESG become a major player in the Coal Seam Gas sector with a number of projects now being developed to consolidate these gains. These projects include a possible Coal Seam Liquified Natural Gas (CSLNG) plant based at Newcastle and gas supplies to regional power generators.

ESG is seeking a Project Engineer � Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to become part of the growing Brisbane Corporate office located in the Brisbane CBD.

Key responsibilities:

Engineering design and preparation of cost estimates to ensure proposed projects are delivered on time and within budget
Liaise with engineering design consultants, partake in design reviews and HAZOPs, review and approve engineering drawings to ensure all projects meet the Company design specifications and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements, and meet all pertinent and relevant standards such as Australian Standards (AS 3000), etc.
Contribute to the adequate procurement of equipment through tender evaluations, issuing purchase orders, and establishing supply contracts
Provide support and monitoring to the HSE team
Assist in the management of projects through supervision of surface facility construction crews and contractors both in the field and the office and provide on-site assistance with facility and equipment commissioning
Monitor costs and schedules while continuously striving to improve efficiencies; conduct post project reviews for �lessons learnt� to apply to future projects
