    About the business

    We are a Brisbane based, publicly listed entity, producing technology based products in the energy industry. Based in Seventeen Mile Rocks, we are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support our Brisbane facility, the manufacturing facility  in Thailand, and the distribution of finished goods worldwide.

    About the role

    This position would suit a Logistics, Purchasing Officer with considerable experience in arranging  sea and air freight, who is looking to take the next step in their career providing integral support to our Procurement and Operations functions. The purpose of the role is to manage the on time delivery of raw material and finished goods; to establish a robust process to ensure efficiency of shipping and documentation flow; and make a significant contribution to the growth of the Redflow group.
    Accountabilities:
    • Coordinate the movement of raw materials into and finished goods out of our Thailand factory,
    • Coordinate freight movements and storage in Australian and other overseas locations as required,
    • Responsible for processing and management of all pertinent shipment information including: creating orders, tracking delivery notes, checking and processing invoices, managing bills of lading, etc,
    • Ensure appropriate processes are in place for the handling of Dangerous Goods (Class 8 Corrosive)
    • Liaise with Thailand logistics team to set up and maintain an improved system for efficient processing of all shipping related documents,
    • Maintain and build relationships with key freight forwarders to enable efficient and cost effective movement of material,
    • Support Procurement as required in raising purchase orders, transfer orders, expediting raw materials and controlling dispatch of finished goods.

    Skills and experience

    • English language proficient (read, writes, speak & understand)
    • IATA and IMDG Certification: knowledge of dangerous goods classifications and document requirements is preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in a related field.
    • Experience with international import/export logistics and dangerous goods handling.
    • High attention to detail is a must with an analytical, process oriented approach.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
    • Intermediate computer skills – Uses Microsoft Office suite to perform a variety of tasks including (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
    • You will have the ability to
      - multi task and problem solve within a small team to get the job done.
      - maintain an objective point-of-view when faced with challenges;
      - manage conflicting priorities
      - proactively take ownership to resolve issues
