Banks are already in strong positions with liquidity and bad debts , as the economic crisis isn’t a result of economies deteriorating over time from poor management but as a result of the sudden virus.
Bank yields have been terrific in recent times before crisis when interest rates were extremely low , I can’t see that changing drastically.
The banks risk on loans is mitigated somewhat in my opinion with huge quantities of stimulus being giving to all walks of life in Australia.
Australia isn’t the concern for Afterpay. It’s their exposure in the US IMO. The customers their are higher risk.
