3 things :
• Lilac are building capability in Vancouver, Canada. Where Alberta ~1,000km away is a big O&G hub. Refer David Dickson's comments around industry similarities. IOW this location has the skill set to fast track brine IX projects at scale.
• Canada evidently considers the Li industry along Economic, if not a National Security interest to order to have those stakes sold.
• I've mentioned this before, but one of the outcomes from developing Kachi first is testing lower concentration brines to establish project economics using IX technology (Ion Exchange). These two Ca brine projects mentioned have much lower grades than other areas in Argentina/Bolivia/Chile, however Kachi is middle of the road when comparing the two locations. So I bet Canadian brine project developers are keenly watching Lake/Lilac/Kachi for the DFS numbers.
