Nor does Albanese have many environmental runs on the board - just a bit of very low hanging fruit!
The one Australian jurisdiction which has taken giant strides is Victoria - Daniel Andrews is rapidly transforming Victoria into a renewables power house and a global leader in education-science-medicine-technology, albeit he's still a lot of work to do with our deforesters and firelighters.
Therein lies a clue to why Dutton's mission into the Aston by-election has 'killed the :Liberal Party' - Victorians were able to see for themselves just how removed from reality Peter Dutton really is and just how grim our future would be under the oppressive regime he would impose.
