Joe Hockey's performance last night was brilliant, he answered every question calmly and with authority - someone who clearly knew his subject.
Tony Jones did his usual trick of trying to get Joe in a 'gotcha moment' but failed, he did however talk over and interupted when Joe was answering 'set up questions'
I was amazed at the amount of misinformation reflected in the questions - Joe clearly demonstrated that in most examples they were misinformed.
I could not help but reflect back when we did have serious problems in Keating's era - Mortgage interest Rates 16% -Bank Overdraft Rates 22% - Banks seizing properties as collateral - younger folk have no idea what real pain is - the GFC was all about debt and not much has changed since.
There is a massive debt problem for Australia and for those who have mortgages $400K and above - hopefully this Government will slowly turn the ship before disaster strikes.
