Hockey looked foolish because imo the coalition gave him no option but to try and explain and defend the inexplicable and indefensible. Even the Herald Sun articulated his embarrassing position.
The accusation was double counting and the lack of explanation probably means that the Coalition so called savings did involve double counting if not double dealing.
