Glad you raised this as I listened to this podcast over the weekend a made a note of Rio’s response at the time.
Joe asked in terms of initial production will Rio will aiming for 20,000Tpa of the smaller side of things around 5,000tpa plant.
Rios knee - jerk response “oh no, definitely on the lower end of the scale.”
My initial impression is that even 5,000tpa raised by Joe was much higher than Rio has planned based on their response (pitch, tone, impulse delivery etc.)
Rio are smart. They know they need to start small, prove the tech and scale up.
