Well it was an interview done the day after the takeover was announced so not surprising how JA was talking. He hadn't heard the howls of derision from shareholders by then! He is just stating for the benefit of the locals the fact that ESG will be would up and Santos will be running the show .. IF the shareholders vote in favour of the deal.

I reckon he made the case for CSG and gas generally quite well and put the environmental concerns "in perspective".
