John Hewson defends Chris Bowen

As reported on the OUTSIDERS today we have John Hewson claiming that Bowen would be more competent than ScoMo because Bowen is "a trained Economist".

This is the same John Hewson who despite 20 years as a trained "Economist" was unable to sell his GST because he didn't understand how it worked.

Now without passing judgement on ScoMo's skills the comment on Bowen is of course a joke.

Bowen went straight from his Economics degree into the Fairfield Council as a Laborite yes man.

There is nothing scientific about the field of Economics. It is based on an endless list of "assumptions". sure it works nicely on a whiteboard.

Bowen will be remembered as the guy who wants to prove that a nation can tax its way to prosperity. It would seem that Hewson is cheering him on.
