Thats where you keep hitting the wall Chuck (DUB seriuosly hit it a long time ago), Islam is a religion/cult that is above/eschews politics so how can it be resolved through a political solution, hmmm?
Its comparing apples with oranges.
To deal with this particular branch of islam politically you will have to:
throw away separation of powers.
throw away the secular state.
throw away democratic rule
live under sharia law
Not much of a choice is it?
