G'day J.Williamson,
Geez, sorry for the late reply again. I need to check this blog more regularly. Grains tend to move a bit slower than equities.
I'm actually an employee, rather than a consultant so can't really do too much privately but always happy to help this blog in any way i can, with various questions. I do get access to a lot of growers, traders and paid for data/reports, so hopefully have a good feel for things but you know the deal, when it comes to price, nobody gets it right all the time.
I can tell you one thing. Unlike most on here who would be straight long a grain index, with full exposure, trading desks don't operate like that and are generally basis traders, e.g. long/short Aussie basis against CBOT etc.
