All power to Howard. If it is true that he has that much sway with the US, then he is a genius, and a first class diplomat and Statesman. Or, would you rather he abandon the US alliance, and get a thousand sail-boats to patrol our shores, so that we can sleep safely at night.

You had better get used to the fact that Howard will win the next election. the labour party are already starting to fight amongst themselves. They are totally funded by the Unions, beholding to the Unions and here's the thing....this country has moved on. The average person is a million percent better off without them. Labour stands for Unions. This climate change waffle is just noise. Rudd the dudd knows it, everyone knows it. his only chance is to distance himself from the Unions and become a true Centrist like Blair...and that ain't going to happen, by the looks of it.
